| Hawthorks are the birds which the Moondarians regularly use for travel. They have glowing purple and pink plumage. Each of their wings is as wide as a slippery dip. They also wear a saddle on their back. The saddle has several seats in a row with room for quite a few passengers. Hawthorks wear goggles for night flying. The goggles help them to see through thick mists and fog. They also wear pink fluffy ear muffs beneath a crash helmet. They love to eat moths, and are terrified of Doriks and large yellow bees. The Blabbel of Salcazar conducts Hawthork races. Hawthorks chortle when they are happy. |
